These are the things I highlighted in a book I just finished, called "Last Light," by Terri Blackstock

"Ever day of your life you'll have to make decisions about what kind of man you want to be. Its not going to start when your older. Its starts right now. And every time you make a decision to be less than what God wants for you, your denying yourself some of God's blessings. Its up to you. You can live a life with god's blessings, or just exist with all the consequences of choosing wrong."
                                                                   -page 152 in, "last light."

"One wrong choice can change your whole life, Jeff. Just one. And one right one can turn you away from a world of trouble."
                                              -page 152 in, "last light."

"And the job of a mother is more important than any job a woman can have. It requires strength, character, discipline, patience, organization, intuition, and a strong work ethic. When you cant see those things, when your eyes are dimmed by your own ambitions, dreams, then sometimes God has to teach you how wrong you are. I don't want Him to have to do that. I'd rather you just loved people and saw them as worthwhile."
                                                              -page 165 in, "last light."

"Maybe it's time we find out what it's like to need, so we can see how big God is."
                                                   -page 173 in, "last light."

"Therefore do not worry about  tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own."
-page 186, in "last light," also in bible, found in Matthew.

"Those aren't the right questions, Kay. the question is, do you trust Him? Whatever the case, whatever He has planned for you or you husband or children... Do you trust Him to do the right thing?"
                                           -page 321 in, "last light."

"Do not love the world, nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life, is not from the Father, but is from the world. And the world is passing away, and also its lusts;  but the one who does the will of God abides forever." 1 john 2:15-17.

"It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To him who is thirsty I will give drink without cost from the spring of water of life. He who overcomes will inherit all this, and I will be his God and he will be my son." Revelation 21:1-7
